John 10:27
My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.
The Holy Spirit is growing louder than my thoughts. As I am sanctified, a clear distinction is being made between the thoughts of God and thoughts of the flesh. I am desperate to hear my Shepherd's voice and I am hostile toward the voice of evil.

I will listen to what God the Lord says; he promises peace to his people, his faithful servants— but let them not turn to folly.
Isaiah 50:4-5
The Sovereign Lord has given me a well-instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning,
wakens my ear to listen like one being instructed. The Sovereign Lord has opened my ears; I have not been rebellious, I have not turned away.
